Roman Kurnický

Roman Kurnický has 14 years of experience in the area of human resources as an internal trainer, HR manager in pharmaceutical industry and external consultant, trainer and coach for individuals and organizations. He acquired proven skills in building competency models, behavioural selection process, creating training materials and creating and implementing HR processes. He is an innovative and systematic consultant who offers organizations complex development programs, consulting and guidance in creating HR strategies and implementation of HR systems. Roman is highly oriented on measurable results of HR activities, dynamic with a sense of humour. 

He currently works as Managing Director and Lead Consultant in Developium company, where he conducts consultations, trainings and development activities for organizations mainly based on a competency approach, from creating competency models through setting up the selection and development process up to creating evaluation and reward schemes. 

Roman works also as a trainer and coach for different categories of employees, from specialists through line management up to top management. He completed a training in career coaching and received TASC (The Art and Science of Coaching) certificate from Ericsson College University. 

He has more than 7 years of experience with coaching in business area from representatives to top management positions, and 4,5 years of experience as an HR manager in Slovakia as well as a member of international HR project teams. 

He worked as Human Resource Manager in Servier Laboratories Slovakia for 4 years. Before that, he worked as a trainer and consultant in Maxman Consultants for Czech Republic and Slovakia for more than 2,5 years. Roman is a Slovak citizen, he studied work psychology at the Faculty of Philosophy, Comenius University and graduated with the Dean’s Award.

After finishing his work in pharmaceutical industry in 2008, Roman founded his own company Developium, which is a member of RecruitMen & Developium Group focused on Assessment and Development centres, complex development programs, HR consulting and individual coaching. He is also a co-founder of cut-e Slovakia, online psychodiagnostic method and psychometry. 

He works for clients in health care, FMCG, retail, IT and telecom as well as for outsourcing, consulting and financial institutions. He carried out projects for the following clients: Accenture, Aegon, Ahold, Astellas, Billa, Camfil Farr, CESAM, Cleverlance, Cetelem, CSOB, Dell, Embraco, Ferring Pharmaceuticals, Logica, Medirex, Phoenix Zdravotnícke zásobovanie, Servier, Softec, Slovenská Sporiteľna, Techo, T-Systems, Vipharm Slovakia, Volkswagen etc.

Roman is a co-author of: Managerial Competencies, Grada Publishing, 2004, Prague. He is also a contributor for Hospodárske noviny and St.City magazine. He is an authorized trainer of a Personality Poker projective technique, published by Testcentrum Prague and Persea Bratislava. 

He speaks fluent Slovak, English, and passive French.
